Hey faithful blog readers...sorry that it's been so long sing I wrote anything down. You will be happy to know (or sad to know depending on your view of me) that I have in fact not been kidnapped or sucked into a black hole. Unless the black hole is homework, which it can feel like sometimes. Anyway...the biggest coming-up-soon news is I'M GOING TO FLORIDA!! Heck yes, my school funded Real Life (the Christian Fellowship on campus) to go to Florida for a week of conferances and beach outreach. And my "beach outreach" I mean going to the beach and talking to people. Oh I know what your thinking...
"How can you be so selfless Lyzz? I mean really that is a big sacrifice...it's like a whole week out of your schedule. Stuck in a resort on the beach in beautiful weather...That's just really admirable!"
I know it will be tough, but I'll get through it. Anything to show God how much I love Him, and if it means warm sandy beaches then I guess that's what it means. I mean it can't be that bad.
So yeah...the school is paying for most of it. It winds up to me only having to pay $50 for everything except food (transportation and resort are included). I'm super excited...I've never been to Florida so it will be a good time :)
And now for the even bigger news! *insert drum roll here* I'M GOING TO EUROPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My roommate, Megan, and I are backpacking Europe for 3 months and my other roommate, Bethany, is going to meet us for the last month. We aren't sure what we're going to do. We are most likely going to meet up with a bunch of people. We have a few friends from the States that are visiting Europe this summer, so we may meet up with them. And we all know a few people that live there, so we will most likely visit them. We are mostly just flying by the seat of our pants and figuring it out when we get there. If ya'll wouldn't mind praying for all of our finances that would be great. I'm running up against a bit of a wall (I ended up having to pay back some $$ I didn't think I needed to, and didn't get a job that I was planning on), and we are all going to be a little tight. But we have mostly decided that if we have a plane ticket and a dime we are going to go. I'd rather be homeless in Europe than working some dead end job here in Boston this summer.
Anyway, so I need to go work on swing choreography then study for a big ole Chem exam. But more to come ;)
