This is a really great idea. I get so frustrated with Christmas, but often don't know what to do because my family is so far away. I've prefer to make presents and spend time with people, but with my family being far away this is hard. I'm trying to come up with things that promote relationships and not consumerism. I'm just not sure how to do that with my friends and family that live far away. Any thoughts? I wish I could buy them plane tickets or go visit them, but that's not really feasible with the social worker + student budget that my husband and I have.
