Windows to your Soul

I'm reading the Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning and really the whole book is fantastic.  Today as I was riding the train I had to stop reading because I could not read further without pondering and digesting this thought:  The eyes are the windows to the soul is not just a nice phrase talking about beautiful deep green eyes.  It's an absolutely true phrase, but not in the way most people think.  The way that you view the world is a view of your soul.  Think about that.  Two people can look at the same person or object and see completely different things right?  What makes me look at a punk kid and think "what a waste of youth" and someone else look at the exact same kid and think "look at that potential!"  It is a view of my soul when I see beauty and when I cast judgement on what I see.  What do your eyes say about you??
