A few days later I came back and was again making a sandwich (they are a large part of their lives). She was again very excited about the triangles, but had forgotten to show her mom how to do it. We decided that a diagram would help her remember so I drew a purple piece of toast with lines from each corner so she could show Mom when she got home. As she started to eat her triangle sandwich to looked me right in the eyes and with pure amazement in her voice that cannot be conveyed over the internets she asked me "Where did you learn to DO this??" I'm magic that's how, pure magic.
One of the many reasons that I love children so much. I just babysit and I have more stories like this that I could every write about, much less their parents! I've heard this is not very progressive of me and I should care about my career or something, but I just can't wait to have kids of our own. A day full of rugrats and legos and magical sandwiches sounds like a perfect day to me.
